Principal's Message

Dear Crawford Woods Families,

     Welcome to a brand-new school year! It is with great excitement and gratitude that I welcome each of you to Crawford Woods Elementary. Whether you are returning to our school or joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to have you as part of our Wildcat family.

     This school year marks an important new chapter for our community as we welcome students and families from Fairwood Elementary. While change can bring a mix of emotions, it also brings new opportunities to build friendships, create lasting memories, and strengthen our school community. To our new Fairwood families, and any families joining Crawford Woods for the first time: we are honored to have you with us and are committed to ensuring that you feel welcomed, valued, and at home from your very first day as a Wildcat.

     At Crawford Woods, we believe every child deserves to be known, valued, and supported. We take pride in getting to know each student as an individual—their strengths, interests, goals, and dreams. By building strong relationships with our students and families, we create an environment where children feel safe, connected, and ready to learn.

     Our school is grounded in the values of Respect, Responsibility, and Honesty. These core principles guide the way we learn, lead, and care for one another each day. Together, we will encourage our students to make positive choices, show kindness, take ownership of their learning, and demonstrate integrity in all they do.

     Our dedicated staff is committed to helping every student grow both academically and personally. We know that success extends beyond the classroom, and we strive to help students become confident learners, compassionate friends, creative thinkers, and responsible citizens. We look forward to celebrating each milestone and achievement as our students continue to discover their potential.

     A strong partnership between home and school is essential to student success. We encourage you to stay connected, communicate with your child's teachers, participate in school events, and become actively involved in our Crawford Woods community. Together, we can provide every student with the support and encouragement they need to thrive.

     As we begin this exciting school year, I invite all of our Wildcats to embrace new opportunities, challenge themselves, and make this year their best yet. There will be new experiences, new friendships, and countless opportunities to learn and grow. I am confident that, by working together, we will make this a year filled with achievement, belonging, and unforgettable memories.

     Thank you for entrusting us with your children each day. It is truly a privilege to serve the Crawford Woods community. I cannot wait to see our hallways filled with smiling faces, joyful learning, and Wildcat pride.  Mrs, Ernst, my assistant principal, and I are looking forward to partnering with you this school year.
